Additionally, they will conduct a self-assessment to understand their coaching approach and how personal beliefs and practices influence their effectiveness.
MODULE 2: Understanding and Implementing Effective Coaching Strategies
Description: Module 2 explores key coaching strategies that help students gain clarity and confidence in their career decisions. Participants will examine the unique characteristics and needs of various student groups, including Gen Alpha, Gen Z, Millennials, first-generation college students, military-affiliated individuals, and those with different learning styles. The session emphasizes the importance of clear communication, confidence-building, and goal-setting techniques to help students identify and pursue meaningful career paths.
MODULE 3: Overcoming Barriers – Helping Students Navigate Career Challenges

Coaches will explore external factors such as parental expectations, school and community influences, social capital, transportation, and standardized testing. Description: Module 4 focuses on the integration of technology into career coaching, including digital tools for job searching, personal branding, and networking. Participants will learn best practices for résumé building, cover letter writing, and interview preparation. The session also covers how to teach students to use LinkedIn effectively and explores the role of emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), in career advancement. Ethical considerations related to AI in hiring will also be discussed, along with the use of assessment tools to track progress and success.
